Top Art and Design Apps on Android in Italy Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the art and design app category on Android in Italy showcased interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, we observed varying performance metrics across the top five applications.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor experienced a steady revenue increase, culminating in approximately $33K by the end of June. Downloads began at around 39K, showing a downward trend to about 22K. Active users saw fluctuations, rising to 1.49M in mid-May before declining to 825K by the quarter's end.

Cartoon Photo Editor－Toon Art had a modest revenue peak of $59. Downloads started strong at 50K in early April but dropped significantly to under 1K by the end of June. Active users maintained a more stable trajectory, around 81K towards the end of the quarter.

Genius: AI Photo Generator saw its revenue peaking at $54 initially and then fluctuating modestly. Downloads began with 49K, decreasing sharply to just over 600 by the end of the quarter. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, ending at about 23K.

AR Drawing - Sketchar App did not generate revenue but had a notable increase in downloads to 15K mid-April before tapering off to 4K. Active users showed a slight uptick, peaking at 140K mid-quarter.

Lastly, AR Drawing: Sketch & Paint reported a revenue peak of $91. Downloads had an initial surge to 15K, followed by a gradual decline to 1K. Active users reached a high of 35K in April, settling at 18K by June.
